Is there a 40-hour OSHA course?
No. OSHA has a 10-hour course and a 30-hour course. When someone says "40 hours," they mean the NYC SST Worker card: 40 hours of training in all, which is OSHA 30 plus the 10-Hour SST course. The 40 Hour Package is both.
Do I need OSHA 30 for the SST card?
Yes. The Worker card's 40 hours include an OSHA 30 from the last five years. OSHA 10 alone is not enough. No OSHA 30? Take the 40 Hour Package. Already have one? Buy only the 10-Hour SST.
What is the 10-Hour SST course?
The NYC part of the 40 hours: 8 hours of Fall Prevention (SST-307) and 2 hours of Mental Health Awareness (SST-308), approved by NYC DOB.

Is there a temporary card?
We do not offer one and we do not promise one. The NYC SST card is the physical card. While yours is on its way, ask your site safety manager what the site accepts.
Is the card fee and shipping included?

How do I know you are an approved NYC DOB provider?

Does the card expire?
Yes, five years from the date the card is issued, the date printed on the card. Renew with the 8-Hour Worker Renewal in the final 365 days before that date.
Worker or supervisor: 40 hours or 62 hours?
Workers carry the 40-hour card. Supervisors (foremen, supers, competent persons) carry the 62-hour card: OSHA 30 plus the 32-Hour Supervisor SST course. Supervising a crew? See the supervisor card.
Can I take it in Spanish?
Yes. The 40-hour package in Spanish has both courses in Spanish.
