This is the 8-Hour SST Worker Renewal. It’s not the full 10-Hour course again (you already did that). It’s a refresher to keep your card active for another 5 years. Updated regulations, new horror stories, same goal: go home with all your fingers.

❓ FAQ (Because You’re Wondering)
My card already expired. Can I still renew?
Depends on the date. If it expired on or after May 3, 2026 and it’s been under a year, yes: you can still renew with this course (the Local Law 10 grace period). The card can’t be used on a jobsite until your renewal is finished and your new card is issued. If it expired before May 3, 2026, or your grace period has run out, this class alone is not enough. You need a new card, not a refresher, and that can mean one or more additional classes. For a new Worker card, NYC DOB counts an OSHA 30 only if it was taken within the last 5 years. How long do I have before my card expires?
Check the expiration date on your card. If it’s within 6 months, start this course. Don’t wait until the day before.
Can I do this on my phone?
Yes. Camera required for verification, but otherwise fully mobile-friendly.
What if I don’t remember anything from the 10-Hour course?
That’s literally what the refresher is for. We’ll re-teach the important parts. Also, you’ve been on job sites for 5 years – you know more than you think.
Is this the same as the 10-Hour course?
No. It’s shorter and assumes you already have baseline knowledge. If you’ve never taken SST training before, you need the 10-Hour course, not this.
What happens if I don’t renew?
Your card expires. You can’t legally work on NYC construction sites. Your boss gets annoyed. The inspector shuts down the site. Bad times all around.
