- Not yet — your card is current but expires more than 12 months out (too early to renew).
- Not this one — your card expired before May 3, 2026, or your grace period has run out. You'll need a new card, not a refresher. At Step 1 we verify your card; you may need to take one or more additional classes to satisfy NYC DOB requirements.
Heads up: if your card is expired but within the grace period, it can’t be used on a jobsite until your renewal is finished and your new card is issued.
